Mapmaking Tomfoolery

Recommended Posts

From now on, I'll be keeping all of my projects up-to-date on GitHub. The repos will include the command block code, images, schematics, resource packs, and everything else that goes into map development. Here are the currently set up repos:

EDIT: Updated the first post with more comprehensive information. README.md files in the GitHub repos will be updated with full design documents as soon as I can manage.

Updates are so much work :notlikethis:

I've mostly been working on Color Control, but I made animated armor stands to see how difficult/practical it is. It turned out pretty well - the next step is to make some resource pack models to make them look like actual players. Until then, have a gfy!

Color Control, a PvP map about territory control, has been RELEASED! Thank you so much to everyone who helped test, critique, and otherwise give feedback on the map! The trailer is can be found here, and you can download the map here! Give it a shot with your friends (or keep an eye on games.everneth.com for the next time we play it) and let me know what you think. :)

That's not all! I'm going to be participating in the 14th Strawberry Jam, which is a 72-hour mapmaking event in which participants are challenged to make a three-objective CTM map over an extended weekend. Each Jam has a different theme, and this time around the theme is Stolen Pixels, meaning that maps should be inspired by another video game. I've chosen Rogue Legacy for my own submission. While I'm going to be busy moving on Saturday, I'm going to do my best to stream my progress at https://mixer.com/Sybillian1, starting at roughly 10am CST on Friday the 23rd. I'll post in the Everneth Discord whenever I go live, so feel free to hop in and join the fun!
