  1. What is Steam Sunday? Steam Sunday is a weekly event that ventures outside the realm of Minecraft, and into the wonderful world of Steam Games. Featuring several multiplayer experiences, we take the opportunity to play various in both competitive and co-operative playstyles. The idea was initially brought up by none other than Face, and through weeks of planning, debating, and logo-creationing (Yes, that's a word), Steam Sunday was surfaced as another Evernethian event. Current games in the roster include Age of Empires II, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Don't Starve: Together, Terraria, and Tabletop Simulator; but of course this list is capable of expansion at any time! How Do I Participate? Well, the first (hopefully obvious) step would be to have a Steam account. You'll also need to be friends with one or several people who are likely to partake in the games often. The easiest way to do this would be to friend me (link here!), and then I can add you to the Everneth Steam Group! Likely the most tragic part of this whole tale, is that you will of course need to have the steam games that we will be playing. Not all of them, of course, but you'll want at least one or two. Luckily, Steam is a platform that often puts games on sale for great deals, often following the changing of seasons. You may also be fortunate enough to grab an extra copy from someone else. It's no guarantee that someone will have one, but if they do they might just be willing to hand it over to the first comer. On a final note, please join the Steam Sunday Discord to keep up-to-date on all weekly events. When Are These Games Scheduled For? Every Sunday night we would be looking to start playing by early afternoon or evening, so roughly 4pm-6pm EST. It's likely you'll be able to join late or leave and come back later if we are still playing, so don't feel bad for not being there for the full duration or not being there at the start (Age of Empires II may be the exception to this, as the games are longer and it lacks a late-join feature). Replayability It was decided, to avoid monotonous gameplay, that we would sort the games into two lists: Games that could be played more than once consecutively, and games that were 'One and Done'. We made this decision based off the session length and playability. For example, Age of Empires II only requires one game, and needs no continuation of its session once a game is over; however, Don't Starve: Together can't really be 'completed' in one reasonably lengthened session, so if you should choose, you can vote on it again in the next week. Replayable Games: Don't Starve: Together Terraria 'One and Done' Games: Age of Empires II Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Tabletop Simulator Wrap-Up Sorry that we've missed out on the last two weeks; real life is a hard thing! Hopefully this week we can make it up to ye and have a super fabulicious mega supreme time. Until then, ciao!
  2. Yeah I've never even heard of this method of mob farming so I can't advise you any further. I don't even know where to find it.
  3. Well, I'm not entirely sure how this works, but because it's not really an exploit or cheat I would say yes, you can do this.
  4. The Current highest bid is 864 diamonds, wowza.
  5. @mindovermaster if they don't know what that means they clearly did not read the charter and thus should not be approved to use any mods
  6. Any mods are allowed as long as they don't give explicit advantages to you or anyone else. I'd just ask a baron if a mod is approved before using it.

We hope to begin this week, the first edition of Steam Sunday being held Sunday, May 28th. It'd be great if we could get some feedback from anyone interested as to which game we should play first; vote in the poll (please don't vote if you have no plans on even attempting to participate, much appreciated ). 8. DPP you said you're not even gonna be playing on the server anymore why would you bid when you gave all your diamonds away?
  9. 'Tis quite the fortress of... well everything it seems. I'll start the bidding off with 50 diamonds!
  10. Yeah I'd really advise you listen to him, just an fyi. ^
  11. No matter where we put them people can just hit F3 on their keyboards and type in 'Secret Word' to find where the secret word is hidden in the charter. Moving it wouldn't make much a difference from people who just instantly scroll down to the bottom. Besides, the secret word is basically like accepting the terms and agreements we have here. If you violate them, you're liable for everything it says because you've basically claimed to have read the rules.
  12. There was a mixup and the previous topic got messed up, which in turn removed the poll in the Steam Sunday Week 2 post. I can't edit a poll back in so we'll have to improvise this week. Sorry!
  13. Send me a screenshot. Try refreshing the page as well
  14. @MoAboss16 were you logged in when you tried to vote?

What is New This Week? It was decided last week, that we would sort the games in the roster into two lists: games that could only be played once before taken off the next week's poll, and those that could be played several weeks in a row. The games were sorted into these lists by their session length and game playability, mostly to prevent exclusion of some members of the Steam Sunday group, and to avoid monotonous gameplay. For example, Age of Empires II only requires a single game to be played, and there is no necessary continuation the week after, so it has been removed from this week's poll. It will appear again in next week's, however! The current lists are as follows: Replayable Games: Don't Starve: Together Terraria 'One and Done' Games: Age of Empires II Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Tabletop Simulator Wrap-Up Hopefully these changes should help to keep a variety going, please go vote on which game you believe should be played this week! And feel free to offer any new games to the rotation at any time; and remember to mark your calendars (but that's not necessary because I already did it for you)! Stay Frosty.
  16. I happened across this on Dynmap the other day. It intrigued me quite a bit. But it looks like you got some good foundations down at the moment. Reminds me of a Lord's keep from the Medieval era almost.
  17. Updated!
  18. Well, I've kind of been short on the computer usage for the last few weeks, but when I do have my computer I've been playing Prison Architect, because I re-sparked my interest in that, with some Stardew Valley thrown in there.
  19. Sure thing!
  20. I suppose like Pande said, if you pull this off, there'll be one build to rule them all. (Appreciate my joke I spent like 20 seconds on it )
  21. I only had 2 finals this semester, because taking AP Classes is OP. I've actually finished school today though, so much excite over that. But yes, RIP to anyone who still has to go through finals.
  22. The Classic UHC Gamemode pioneered by Guude and PauseUnpause in which the ultimate goal is to be the last player(s) standing! UHC Season VI Features the 'Bring a Friend' twist, and more information can be found by reading this announcement: http://everneth.com/forums/topic/2034-ultra-hardcore-season-vi/
  23. Every Sunday we take a vote on which game to play through the Steam platform, and then gather for a few hours to just kick back and enjoy some casual mockery. We will take a vote each week to see what time works best for everyone!
  24. Introduction Steam Sunday is something that has been in the works for a while now, and I think we are finally ready to introduce it as another aspect to Everneth's ever-growing events list! The idea has been brought up several times, discussed and debated, and as such here it is in the flesh. As the name suggests, Steam Sunday is a weekly(™) event that goes beyond the realm of Minecraft and into the wonderful libraries of Steam. Featuring many multiplayer experiences, we can further bond over both competitive and cooperative play-styles. Wrap-Up That should be all! I and several others are very excited to begin this tradition! We've wanted to expand our community beyond just Minecraft for a while now, and this is an open opportunity to do so. Please PM me on the forums or on Discord if you are interested in joining in; I'd like to get an approximate head-count of those planning to show up. Over and out!
